No.3 London Dry Gin has won many awards that no other gin brand has won. What makes it award-winning?
No.3 gin is made from a classic London Dry Gin style recipe and with perfect balance of the citrus, juniper, and spices. It’s a delight to taste even neat which is why it works so well in a Martini or other classic Gin cocktails. It also has a smooth texture which I find extraordinary and what makes it so special.
If there was a cocktail that represented you best, what would it be and why?
I think actually the Martini cocktail would represent me quite well, not just because of this partnership, but I’ve always loved the ‘Martini moment’ the feel of that elegant glass in your hand at a social event, sipping an ice-cold Martini – just lovely!
And, as I’m a huge coffee fan, an espresso Martini is always my go to for a higher tempo evening.
How did the collaboration between Globe-Trotter and No.3 London Dry Gin come about?
No.3 London Dry Gin was created by the only person with a PhD in gin, Dr. David Clutton, and so it’s in our DNA to work with masters in their fields. We are on the pursuit for perfection in everything we do, including our partnerships. Globe-Trotter, being a luxury British luggage brand, handcrafted locally and tailored to perfection, is the perfect partnership for us and we knew could create something that was bespoke, luxurious and timeless.
What is your favourite thing about the unrivalled Martini case?
A lot of things actually; the design, the craftmanship behind it, the elegance and the stories it will create in the future. Imagine all the Martini moments it will create! It’s also the perfect match with No.3 Gin!
What is your favourite bar you’ve been to, anywhere in the world?
Oh, very difficult to just say one. But since I mentioned Martini being the cocktail that represents me, I have to say Dukes bar at Dukes hotel. That’s where you can get the most exquisite Martini in the world surrounded by some of the most interesting people. It’s an amazing atmosphere as well as the service is just wow.
Do you prefer to have your cocktails in the comfort of your own home, or are you more of an explorer of bars and new experiences?
I’m an explorer of bars and restaurants. Probably comes naturally with my work, but I really enjoy trying new places and see new trends within the industry. However, my friends love tasting my cocktail making skills during an evening at home, of course!
What cocktail are you best at making at home?
My go-to cocktails is usually a Gin & tonic with Grapefruit and Rosemary, always goes down very well! Otherwise, small ice-cold Martinis, French 75 or I make a fabulous Negroni actually.
What places are on your travel bucket list?
Right now, I have three places I really want to go to which is Tel Aviv, Cape Town, and Iceland. Very different places, but I’m sure all of them would deliver extraordinary experiences.
