Continuing its partnership with 007, the British luggage maker introduces a collection of classic board games inspired by the films of, James Bond.
James Bond is notorious for outsmarting his opponent in the blink of an eye or with a flick of the wrist and has been known to enjoy (and win) a game of poker, gin rummy, blackjack and backgammon. To celebrate the British icons winning streak, Globe-Trotter is launching exclusive Bond-themed poker and backgammon sets in collaboration with 007.
Games are an integral part of the Bond series, both on and off screen. If you were to venture behind the scenes of a 1980s Bond film, you’d likely find leading man Roger Moore and producer Cubby Broccoli fervently engaged in backgammon – not dissimilar to a scene in 1983’s Octopussy, where Bond meets villain Kamal Khan in an intense head-to-head of the ancient game. ‘We used to play during all the breaks from shooting and the directors always had a terrible job getting me back into the set when we were in the middle of a game,’ recounts Roger Moore in a 2011 interview with The Telegraph. ‘If Cubby was winning, he absolutely would not let me go.’

The Globe-Trotter x 007 games collection proves to be just as engrossing. The collection includes a set in sophisticated shades of blue and grey, encased in fine black leather and embossed with a distinguished logo detail. An accompanying poker set carries a signature 007 engraving as well as one-of-a-kind Elephant John playing cards – a playful nod to the Globe-Trotter mascot who in 1912 stood on top of the brand’s cabin trunk to demonstrate its strength and endurance.
Throughout the years, Globe-Trotter and the 007 franchise have fostered a longstanding partnership, built on the foundation of shared values. Much like the character of James Bond, Globe-Trotter possesses a keen knack for reinvention while remaining committed to producing travel cases and accessories that are stylish, timeless and distinctly British since 1897.
The 007 games set is another addition to this legacy. The slick leather briefcase design fits neatly into a larger Globe-Trotter case, making it the perfect game set to take with you on your travels. Whether you’re bonding with family or looking to break the ice with a new acquaintance, try your hand at a game – and don’t hesitate to raise the stakes.

The gaming sets will be available for pre-order at Globe-Trotter’s flagship stores in London, Tokyo and Paris as well as online at globe-trotter.com/collections/007-goldfinger.
